iRest® within the Military

Rooted in service to military personnel and veterans, iRest® began as an innovative response to the unique challenges faced by those returning from combat. In 2006, the U.S. Department of Defense partnered with Walter Reed Army Medical Center to rigorously evaluate this evidence-based adaptation of Yoga Nidra, developed by Richard Miller, PhD. The study confirmed iRest®’s effectiveness in helping Global War on Terror service members manage and alleviate PTSD symptoms, laying the foundation for its widespread use in promoting resilience, balance, and well-being.
